Tis the season for pretty wrappings! Stock up your gift wrapping supplies with these festive Christmas Gift tags – perfect for neighbor gifts, gift baskets and presents under the tree.
I believe that there’s no perfect way to unwrap a present. My kids excitement gets the best of them and they tear open the paper, tossing the bow aside. My grandmother, on the other hand, slides her hand gently along the sides of the package as she slips her index finger under the folded edges, all while remarking how beautiful the paper is.
I love it all! In fact, it’s one of the best parts of the holiday – watching others unwrap the gifts that I’ve carefully selected, wrapped and placed under the tree. But even though I know there’s not a perfect way to unwrap a present, I’m a firm believer that a beautiful presentation does contribute to a thoughtful gift. Hence the need for pretty wrappings!
What You Need to Print Your Christmas Gift Tags
Gathering up wrapping supplies is one of the first things I do to prepare for the holidays. Having everything in one place makes it that much easier (and less stressful!) so I try to gather tape, scissors, tags, ribbons all into one basket.
Prepping these gift tags couldn’t be easier. Here’s what you’ll need:
- access to a color print, either at home or send the file off to your favorite copy shop
- white cardstock
- scissors or a paper trimmer
- small hole punch (optional)
You’ll want to be sure that you grab the Christmas gift tag file by filling out the form below. Then you’ll either print your tags at home or send them off to your favorite copy shop. After you have your printed files, I usually grab my trimmer and turn on a good Christmas movie to keep my company while I cut tags and wrap presents. You can punch holes in all the tags and then thread with a little bakers twine so the tags are easy to attach. I also leave some tags unpunched – my kids prefer just sticking their tags to their gifts because it’s easier for little hands.
No matter what… happy wrapping!
