SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR MAKING YOUR HOLIDAY NEIGHBOR GIFT
Gathering up the supplies for this simple Christmas pot simmer couldn’t be easier and it takes very little prep work. You’ll want to pick up the following supplies in the produce section of your grocery store:
- cranberries
- oranges
- cloves
- cinnamon sticks
You’ll also want to make a quick stop at a local tree lot or take a trip into the mountains if you’re nearby and forage for some pine branches. Most tree lots trim off the bottom branches of trees when they bag them for customers to take home. I went in the early evening and snagged quite a few branches – for FREE! I stored them outside so the they stayed nice and fresh until I was ready to use them – but you could trim them down and then put them in a grocery sack in your fridge to accomplish the same thing (this works especially well if you live in a warmer climate).
You’ll also want to pick up the following at a local craft store or gather these supplies at home:
- white cardstock or colored paper
- holiday ribbon
- hole punch
- bakers twine
- cellophane bags (I snagged these treat bags on the party aisle at Walmart for a little over a dollar)
