How to Make Your Own Custom Printable

Farmhouse decor is all the rage, and although I’ve accepted that my laundry room – that also doubles as a mudroom – will never show up in a Parade of Homes tour, I do think it can still be attractive.

We gave the room a fresh coat of paint, tore out the builder-grade folding table (because honestly it was just another place that was collecting “stuff” and I’d rather fold and sort while I watch a Hallmark movie anyway) and shiplapped that wall. There isn’t room for much decor, but we did put in 2 coat racks – one at kid height and the other at adult height – to keep the clutter of winter clothing and backpacks at bay.

My budget was small so purchasing vintage metal signs of any size was out. I opted for the next best thing – do it yourself for as little $$ as possible. And that’s how this laundry sign came into play.

Life Changing Laundry Hacks for the Win

Revamping my laundry routine is something I’ve done over the last several months. Maria from meckmom.com is probably my go-to for all the mom hacks. I have never failed when I put Maria’s tips into action – on every mom topic. My success rate with Maria’s laundry hacks is just as high. You can see Maria’s laundry hacks video that aired on KSL’s Studio 5 here.

I can’t recommend Maria’s tips for the laundry room (and really every other aspect of mom life) enough. I’ve cut down the time I spend on laundry, encouraged my kiddos to pitch in, and the morale around here hasn’t ever been better!
