This post has sat as a draft for almost a month. Because of my One Little Word for 2015, I’m publishing this now. No more waiting. It’s just time to move.
2015 – Let’s do this.
We had a wonderful holiday – the best actually. I have always loved Christmas and the start of the New Year, but it’s more fun enjoying the magic when little ones are around. This Christmas I had a blast enjoying the spirit and magic of the holiday rather than the bustle. There were plenty of things I wanted to do and didn’t, but I found that all in all, we still had the perfect holiday. Our kiddos were happy with their gifts, we had plenty of snuggle time and good food, and we spent a whole lot time enjoying the spirit and magic of Christmas as well as watching our Christmas tree glow.
This post is coming a few days late, not because I hadn’t thought about it, but because we’ve been traveling and visiting family. I have followed along with bloggers for several years that participated in the One Little Word project. I’ve enjoyed watching them progress throughout the year as they document their efforts and I’ve even been a little wistful, wishing that I had been gutsy enough to choose a word and do something about it.
This year – that changes.
For 2015 I’m going to “move” – in a variety of ways. I want to move my body – exercise more, play with my kiddos with more intent, and dance and laugh more. I want to move my business – it’s been a side hobby for awhile now, but I want to really plan where I’m headed and then work to grow and get there (I want to take on some new ventures, try out a few new ideas, and learn new skills- more on all this to come.) I want to move my mind – read a few more books, listen to some interesting podcasts, and change my thinking/outlook on a couple of things.
If you look up move in the dictionary it says that “to move” is to “go in a specified direction or manner, or to change from one state, opinion, sphere, or activity to another.” 2015 will be just that – a chance to change for the better…a chance to move onward and upward.
Now lets get moving.
